Dr.Jayaprakash V: You are right!
Thank you!
Vladilen: Beautiful
Askar Isabekov: This birds is not White-Eyed Buzzard, because adult White-Eyed Buzzards have pale eyes but don't have streaked underparts (photo), juvenile ones have dark eyes (photo). This bird is fist winter Common Buzzard (sample). [....]
伊莎贝尔科夫阿斯卡尔: This bird is Chestnut-Tailed Starling. Brahminy Starling in all plumages has dark cap in head.
Dr.Jayaprakash V: Thank you, Ashik!
You could very well be correct!
Regards,
Jp

Dr.Jayaprakash V: Thanks Pavel, for the input. Going by the distribution, Indian Bush lark is seen in north-western, central and south-central India while this bird was photographed in South India. I am wondering if this is the female of Ashy_crowned Sparrow Lark..Jp [....]
Pavel Parkhaev: I suppose tha it can be Indian Bush Lark - Mirafra erythroptera
Аскар Исабеков: I moved series to unidentified birds
Аскар Исабеков: that's description of nigropileus subspecies male. Please look to my photo of Indian Blackbird taken in Munnar (photo).
Аскар Исабеков: Dear Dr.Jayaprakash V, could you please publish photos of different dates and places in different series, because as you know birds can look different in different seasons. Thank you for sharing your nice photos!
Аскар Исабеков: Garganey
Аскар Исабеков: My dream
Dr.Jayaprakash V: Thank you for the suggestion!I found this in Birds of Indian Subcontinent, Grimmet & Inskipp Indian Blackbird “ ....(Males) have brownish slate-grey upper parts with darker brown to blackish crown and ear coverts resulting in capped effect....” [....]
Аскар Исабеков: Dark orange bill and orange eye-ring indicate to Indian Blackbird (Turdus simillimus) in my opinion.
Dr.Jayaprakash V: I think it is Common Blackbird (Turdus merula)
Experts please help with the ID.
Thanks,
Jp
