Isabekov Askar: please check the date. we were in Keoladeo at 15-16 of January.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Askar, what for did you removed russian names of birds?
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Here she is a Acrocephalus, but at birs.kz has stand Lusciniola.)
By the way, there is a mistake in the Helm guide, it is showed with yellow legs.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Yea, there is a similarity. But this one have no any colors. And it's not because of fog.
Isabekov Askar: This bird is very similar to Bunting taken in mountains - photo.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: For Chestnut-eared Bunting location is not suitable.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: leucocephala also has this spot.
Probably it's Bunting not so clear, therefor have no colors.
And by the way, leucocephalA )
Isabekov Askar: the little white spot below the ear probably indicate to Chestnut-eared Bunting
Isabekov Askar: Agree to you. To this site I used Clements 4th edition checklist. Clements joint ater and melanolophus to one species. Sibley and Monroe accepted melanolophus as species. Need to use subspecies in taxonomy to avoid confusion. Two days ago Shanzar told [....]
Oleg Belyalov: Actions of scientists are often not clear to me. Why Spot-winged Tit should have remade in Coal Tit. Perhaps they didn't see the real Coal Tit? DNA ?
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Damn, missed again :)
Thanks!
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Looked at photo online, you're right. I identify this birds on the second photo. There bill not so red.
Isabekov Askar: Gray-breasted Prinia
Askar: Lineated Barbet has pale-yellow bill. This one is Brown-headed Barbet.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Yeа, not very similar. But in the field somebody tell it's exactly siberian. Moved to id temporally.
Isabekov Askar: female Blue-capped Redstart in my opinion. Muscicapa sibirica is large-headed, large-eyed pure grey bird without brown tinge.
Oleg Belyalov: This is very ancient bird as the Himalayas and the sal forest in which he lives. How many millions of years to this woodpecker? It can the most ancient on Earth and from it there were all woodpeckers?
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Thx!
Askar Isabekov: Blue-winged Minla (Actinodura cyanouroptera)
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Blue-winged Siva (Siva cyanouroptera)
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Ok. Let it be ripleyi.
Isabekov Askar: In this taxonomy (Clements) White-browed Shrike-Babbler (sensu lato) (Pteruthius [flaviscapis, ripleyi, annamensis, aeralatus]) (Temminck, 1836)So this bird is Himalayan Shrike-Babbler Pteruthius ripleyi [....]
Fedorenko Vassiliy: White-browed Shrike-babbler (Pteruthius flaviscapis)
Не нашёл в списке.
Fedorenko Vassiliy: Ok.
Sanzhar Abdikhalyk: I believe this is striated prinia. Rufous-vented prinia does not occur in this area.
